Sheikh Ali Goma’a never stated that Muslims can apostatise

The report is false and verily those who claim that Sheikh Ali Goma’a had ever repudiated the capital punishment for apostasy is a liar. For a detailed exegesis on the subject, see: Apostasy & Blasphemy in Islam.

International Islamic Fair 2007

I went with Asdren Zajmi, a brother from Kosovo, with his wife, to the International Islamic Fair (IIF) 2007 which was held in PWTC. It was actually an eerie feeling when I walked along the corridors of power in the UMNO building, even though we were heading towards the booth area.

Ruqaya Al Ghasara of Bahrain, exemplary Muslim sportswoman

Ruqaya Al Ghasara had proven that to improvise the hijab in the use of sports does not make it impractical. And you do not have to be sponsored by Nike to do that.

Islam denounces terrorism

Most people blame our deen, Islam, for acts of terrorism. That blame is totally baseless as terrorism is a punishable crime in Islam referred to in Shariah as hirabah. One should therefore take the opportunity to watch this video to see why Islam is called the religion of peace.

Disgusting discrimination

It is pretty much well-known that there is only one ethnic group in this country which is associated with Islam (that being said, that does not mean that there are no Muslims from other ethnic groups). It is also well-known that the particular ethnic group in question dominates the political scene of this country and do not habitually speak Mandarin either. I have shunned race-based politics a long time ago but I cannot help but feel that there is not only religious discrimination, but also a racist agenda behind this “requirement” that “those of the Muslim faith need not apply”.
