DAP and PKR are protectors of swine? September 6th, 2007

Quite literally so, it seems. Interesting news from TV3 regarding the recent operation in Melaka to remove illegal pig farms but was stalled by hundreds of protesters, mostly the pig farmers themselves.

The motives of that Chinese chauvinist party (ever heard of the adage, “pigs of a feather flock together”?), I can understand very well, but PKR??

Sami Yusuf Live at Wembley Arena August 31st, 2007

A peace concert in conjunction with the Eid celebrations will be held by Sami Yusuf on Sunday, 21st October 2007, in partnership with Islamic Relief, a well-known Muslim aid and welfare organisation. This concert will include a full orchestra for first time in the UK as well as performances from Sami Yusuf’s new album.

Also features live performance by Outlandish as well as other special performances. Certainly this is a concert that should not be missed!

Young boy recites the Qur’an August 5th, 2007

Subhanallah, the boy sure has a beautiful voice that complements this beautiful passage from the Qur’an very well. Witnessing this performance from a boy no older than nine or ten years old certainly gives you something to pause and think about.

After all, not many people, not even those twice his age, could do something similar to this.

Video: A Is For Allah July 12th, 2007

A beautiful music video sung by Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, masha’allah. This was recorded for his baby daughter to teach her the Arabic alphabet. Spiritually meaningful and it is certainly a balm for the Muslim soul.

Islam denounces terrorism June 22nd, 2007

Most people blame our deen, Islam, for acts of terrorism. That blame is totally baseless as terrorism is a punishable crime in Islam referred to in Shariah as hirabah. One should therefore take the opportunity to watch this video to see why Islam is called the religion of peace.

I hope that, insha’allah, Muslims will be able to benefit from the video.
