On adhaan and the loud noise of Islamic activism

With such an insensitive comment like this, it is no wonder why a certain Chinese chauvinist party would never be able to penetrate anywhere beyond their non-Muslim community. The Federal Territories PAS Youth movement had already issued their press statement on the matter, so I really do not think any further comment is necessary. However, I do want to discuss about something which is of interest to the Muslim ummah, and that is standing up for Muslim rights.

While some groups of Muslims have the rather (mis)guided notion that standing for Muslim rights would include going on a rampage and burning down embassies (as what one pagan pseudo-monotheist strangely accuses me of), I believe in a different path of Islamic activism. They don’t include any form of looting, burning or killing. I prefer to express myself through the written word and educate the Muslim public, making them aware of their rights and updating them of events that are happening in the world. That is why as of late I have gone on a little “rampage” myself, buying domain names and setting them up left, right and center. Thanks to my hard-earned cash, I might just be able to dedicate some of my time to online Islamic activism. No one said that Islamic activism was going to be free.

And no matter what they might say (“they” here would include blatantly-ignorant economists, stupid blog advertising reviewers and moronic people who dress up like hookers), I believe that this is a continuous struggle. If you will, an online jihad. The “J” word is bound to send shivers down the spine of anyone who despise Islam and hate what it stands for. But I am not surprised. The Prophet salla allahu alayhi wassallam did not have it easy when he first preached the Message and I doubt that is going to change. Technology may have advanced and lifestyle may be different from 1,400 years ago but the behavior of humans remain the same.

Because no one likes to admit that they are wrong, no matter how much evidence you show that proves Islam is the way of life.
