This was a letter I wrote to Malaysiakini in 2004 in response to an Islam Liberal from Singapore who advocated apostasy. Republishing it here for clarity and future reference on the issue.

Islam is the most superior of all religions in the world today, and truly the Muslims are the ummatan wasatan of world civilisation. Do not let anyone allow you to think otherwise. When we are greeted with such news, Muslims reply with “Alhamdulillah!” in praise of Almighty Allah. Takbir! Allahu Akbar!
