Toothpaste can contain non-halaal ingredients
Sometimes I wonder why is it so problematic for non-Muslims to accept the rules and regulations of halal foods and halal products such as toothpaste, but they have no questions about Jewish traditions of kosher.

Young boy recites the Qur’an
Subhanallah, the boy sure has a beautiful voice that complements this beautiful passage from the Qur’an very well. Witnessing this performance from a boy no older than nine or ten years old certainly gives you something to pause. Not many people, not even those twice his age, could do something similar to this.

Tun Haniff Omar: Bury those grouses
But today I discerned that part of the grouse is about the inequality of official treatment between Islam and the other religions. I think it is unreasonable to “demand” equality of official treatment when the Constitution singles out only Islam as “the religion of the Federation”. The Constitution does not even say what the other religions are! This is part of our social contract. If we challenge this, we lay ourselves open to further challenges from all sides that will unravel our national fabric.

The Story of al-Isra’ and al-Mi’raj
The story of “The Night Journey” as we see in the Noble Qur’ân is epitomised in the first verse of the Sûrah Isra’ (Chapter 17 — The Journey by Night). This journey is also confirmed in the sahih (authentic) hadith. As such, there is scholarly consensus (ijma) that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) journeyed in body and soul on the night of al-Isra’ from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem and to the heavens beyond.

Sheikh Ali Goma’a never stated that Muslims can apostatise
The report is false and verily those who claim that Sheikh Ali Goma’a had ever repudiated the capital punishment for apostasy is a liar. For a detailed exegesis on the subject, see: Apostasy & Blasphemy in Islam.
