Reverts are better Muslims than the “born Muslims”

This is very true, I can easily attest to that.

Over the past few years, I have come to get to meet and know several outstanding Muslims, a great majority of them were reverts from Islam. People like Brother Shah Kirit, Brother Nicholas Sylvester and Brother Kamaruddin Abdullah are such examples of towering Muslims who were former Hindus or Christians and have come to reject the worship of a half-naked man and recognise Islam as the Truth. Today they are not only zealous Muslims, but also well-known preachers of Islam and calling people to God’s Way. It puts many of these “born Muslims” (me included) to shame.

Fortunately I am not a Liberal Islam munaafiq, so I guess that is something to be proud of.

I believe it was Saiyyidina Umar radhi allahu anhu who once said that in order to reject Jahiliyyah one must know Jahiliyyah. Certainly, Allah guides those whom He wills and if the current ummah of Muslims are not able to bear the standard, it is He who will replace them with another ummah that can.

“Allah has promised to those amongst you who have faith and do righteous actions that He will certainly grant them the succession of rule (khilaafah) in the land, as He granted it to those before them; and that he will grant them the authority to practice their Religion which He has chosen for them and that He will replace their state of fear, for one of safety; provided that they worship Me alone and not direct worship to others along with Me.” [Surah an-Nur (24):55]

Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world not because of the actions of Muslims today who are trapped in a secular, materialistic context rejecting Allah’s Laws and embracing the repugnant Jahilliyah called “human rights”.

“They wish to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His Light; even though the unbelievers detest it. It is He Who sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that it may prevail over all other religions, even though those who worship others besides Allah may detest it.” [Surah as-Saff (61):8-9]

Indeed, it is Allah who will bring the deen to a completion, even though the disbelievers may dislike it.
